2000
00:17
we talk a lot about leadershipמַנהִיגוּת and how to make a movementתְנוּעָה.
1
2000
3000
00:20
So let's watch a movementתְנוּעָה happenלִקְרוֹת, startהַתחָלָה to finishסִיוּם, in underתַחַת threeשְׁלוֹשָׁה minutesדקות
2
5000
3000
00:23
and dissectלְנַתֵחַ some lessonsשיעורים from it.
3
8000
3000
00:26
First, of courseקוּרס you know, a leaderמַנהִיג needsצרכי the gutsהאומץ
4
11000
2000
00:28
to standלַעֲמוֹד out and be ridiculedנלעג.
5
13000
3000
00:32
But what he's doing is so easyקַל to followלעקוב אחר.
6
17000
2000
00:34
So here'sהנה his first followerחָסִיד with a crucialמַכרִיעַ roleתַפְקִיד;
7
19000
3000
00:37
he's going to showלְהַצִיג everyoneכל אחד elseאַחֵר how to followלעקוב אחר.
8
22000
2000
00:39
Now, noticeהודעה that the leaderמַנהִיג embracesחובקת him as an equalשווה.
9
24000
2000
00:41
So, now it's not about the leaderמַנהִיג anymoreיותר;
10
26000
2000
00:43
it's about them, pluralרַבִּים.
11
28000
2000
00:45
Now, there he is callingיִעוּד to his friendsחברים.
12
30000
2000
00:47
Now, if you noticeהודעה that the first followerחָסִיד
13
32000
2000
00:49
is actuallyלמעשה an underestimatedלזלזל formטופס of leadershipמַנהִיגוּת in itselfעצמה.
14
34000
4000
00:53
It takes gutsהאומץ to standלַעֲמוֹד out like that.
15
38000
2000
00:55
The first followerחָסִיד is what transformsממיר
16
40000
3000
00:58
a loneבּוֹדֵד nutאגוז into a leaderמַנהִיג.
17
43000
2000
01:00
(Laughter
18
45000
2000
01:02
(Applause
19
47000
3000
01:05
And here comesבא a secondשְׁנִיָה followerחָסִיד.
20
50000
2000
01:07
Now it's not a loneבּוֹדֵד nutאגוז, it's not two nutsאֱגוֹזִים --
21
52000
2000
01:09
threeשְׁלוֹשָׁה is a crowdקָהָל, and a crowdקָהָל is newsחֲדָשׁוֹת.
22
54000
3000
01:12
So a movementתְנוּעָה mustצריך be publicפּוּמְבֵּי.
23
57000
2000
01:14
It's importantחָשׁוּב to showלְהַצִיג not just to showלְהַצִיג the leaderמַנהִיג, but the followersעוקבים,
24
59000
3000
01:17
because you find that newחָדָשׁ followersעוקבים
25
62000
2000
01:19
emulateלחקות the followersעוקבים, not the leaderמַנהִיג.
26
64000
3000
01:22
Now, here come two more people, and immediatelyמיד after,
27
67000
2000
01:24
threeשְׁלוֹשָׁה more people.
28
69000
2000
01:26
Now we'veיש לנו got momentumתְנוּפָה. This is the tippingמפנה pointנְקוּדָה.
29
71000
2000
01:28
Now we'veיש לנו got a movementתְנוּעָה.
30
73000
3000
01:32
So, noticeהודעה that, as more people joinלְהִצְטַרֵף in,
31
77000
2000
01:34
it's lessפָּחוּת riskyמְסוּכָּן.
32
79000
2000
01:36
So those that were sittingיְשִׁיבָה on the fenceגָדֵר before, now have no reasonסיבה not to.
33
81000
3000
01:39
They won'tרָגִיל standלַעֲמוֹד out,
34
84000
2000
01:41
they won'tרָגִיל be ridiculedנלעג,
35
86000
2000
01:43
but they will be partחֵלֶק of the in-crowdבקהל if they hurryלְמַהֵר.
36
88000
2000
01:45
(Laughter
37
90000
3000
01:48
So, over the nextהַבָּא minuteדַקָה,
38
93000
2000
01:50
you'llאתה see all of those that preferלְהַעֲדִיף to stickמקל with the crowdקָהָל
39
95000
2000
01:52
because eventuallyבסופו של דבר they would be ridiculedנלעג
40
97000
2000
01:54
for not joiningהִצטָרְפוּת in.
41
99000
2000
01:56
And that's how you make a movement
42
101000
2000
01:58
But let's recapלסכם some lessonsשיעורים from this.
43
103000
2000
02:00
So first, if you are the type
44
105000
3000
02:03
like the shirtlessבלי חולצה dancingריקוד guy that is standingעוֹמֵד aloneלבד,
45
108000
3000
02:06
rememberלִזכּוֹר the importanceחֲשִׁיבוּת of nurturingמטפח
46
111000
2000
02:08
your first fewמְעַטִים followersעוקבים as equalsשווים
47
113000
2000
02:10
so it's clearlyבְּבִירוּר about the movementתְנוּעָה, not you.
48
115000
3000
02:13
Okay, but we mightאולי have missedהחטיא the realאמיתי lessonשיעור here.
49
118000
3000
02:16
The biggestהגדול ביותר lessonשיעור, if you noticedשם לב --
50
121000
2000
02:18
did you catchלתפוס it? -- is that leadershipמַנהִיגוּת
51
123000
2000
02:20
is over-glorifiedמופלאה.
52
125000
2000
02:22
That, yes, it was the shirtlessבלי חולצה guy who was first,
53
127000
2000
02:24
and he'llגֵיהִנוֹם get all the creditאַשׁרַאי,
54
129000
2000
02:26
but it was really the first followerחָסִיד
55
131000
2000
02:28
that transformedהשתנה the loneבּוֹדֵד nutאגוז into a leaderמַנהִיג.
56
133000
3000
02:31
So, as we're told that we should all be leaders
57
136000
2000
02:33
that would be really ineffectiveלֹא יָעִיל.
58
138000
2000
02:35
If you really careלְטַפֵּל about startingהחל a movementתְנוּעָה,
59
140000
2000
02:37
have the courageאומץ to followלעקוב אחר
60
142000
2000
02:39
and showלְהַצִיג othersאחרים how to followלעקוב אחר.
61
144000
2000
02:41
And when you find a loneבּוֹדֵד nutאגוז doing something great,
62
146000
2000
02:43
have the gutsהאומץ to be the first one
63

2000

to standלַעֲמוֹד up and joinלְהִצְטַרֵף in.
