So, I kindtipo of believe that we're in like the "cave-paintingcaverna-pintura" eraera of computercomputador interfacesinterfaces.

5000
00:30
Like, they're very kindtipo of -- they don't go as deepprofundo or as emotionallyemocionalmente engagingnoivando as they possiblypossivelmente could be
1
5000
4000
00:34
and I'd like to changemudança all that.
2
9000
2000
E eu gostaria de mudar isso tudo.
00:36
HitBateu me.
3
11000
3000
Mostra.
00:39
OK. So I mean, this is the kindtipo of statusstatus quoquo interfaceinterface, right?
4
14000
3000
Ok. Bem, este é o estado actual do interface, certo?
00:42
It's very flatplano, kindtipo of rigidrígida.
5
17000
2000
00:44
And OK, so you could sexsexo it up and like go to a much more lickablelickable MacMac,
6
19000
4000
00:48
you know, but really it's the kindtipo of samemesmo oldvelho crapporcaria we'venós temos had for the last,
7
23000
4000
00:52
you know, 30 yearsanos.
8
27000
2000
30 anos.
00:54
(LaughterRiso) (ApplauseAplausos)
9
29000
3000
(risos) (Aplausos)
00:57
Like I think we really put up with a lot of crapporcaria with our computerscomputadores.
10
32000
3000
01:00
I mean it's pointponto and clickclique, it's like the menusmenus, iconsícones, it's all the kindtipo of samemesmo thing.
11
35000
5000
01:05
And so one kindtipo of informationem formação spaceespaço that I take inspirationinspiração from is my realreal deskescrivaninha.
12
40000
4000
01:09
It's so much more subtlesutil, so much more visceralvisceral
13
44000
4000
01:13
-- you know, what's visiblevisível, what's not.
14
48000
2000
sabem, o que é visível, e o que não é.
01:15
And I'd like to bringtrazer that experienceexperiência to the desktopárea de trabalho.
15
50000
3000
01:18
So I kindtipo of have a -- this is BumpTopBumpTop.
16
53000
4000
01:22
It's kindtipo of like a newNovo approachabordagem to desktopárea de trabalho computingInformática.
17
57000
3000
01:25
So you can bumpcolisão things -- they're all physicallyfisicamente, you know, manipulablemanipuláveis and stuffcoisa.
18
60000
7000
01:32
And insteadem vez de of that pointponto and clickclique, it's like a pushempurrar and pullpuxar,
19
67000
3000
e em vez daquele apontar e clicar, é tipo empurrar e puxar,
01:35
things collidecolidir as you'dvocê gostaria expectEspero them. Just like on my realreal deskescrivaninha,
20
70000
4000
as coisas colidem como se esperaria. Tal como na minha secretária real.
01:39
I can -- let me just grabagarrar these guys -- I can turnvirar things into pilespilhas
21
74000
3000
Eu posso -- deixem-me só agarrar estes -- Posso tornar as coisas em pilhas,
01:42
insteadem vez de of just the folderspastas that we have.
22
77000
6000
em vez das pastas que nós temos.
01:48
And onceuma vez things are in a pilepilha I can browseprocurar them by throwingjogando them into a gridgrade,
23
83000
4000
01:52
or you know, flipgiro throughatravés them like a booklivro
24
87000
3000
01:55
or I can laydeitar them out like a deckbaralho of cardscartões.
25
90000
5000
02:00
When they're laidliderar out, I can pullpuxar things to newNovo locationsLocalizações or deleteexcluir things
26
95000
5000
02:05
or just quicklyrapidamente sortordenar a wholetodo pilepilha, you know, just immediatelyimediatamente, right?
27
100000
5000
02:10
And then, it's all smoothlysuavemente animatedanimado, insteadem vez de of these jarringchateante changesalterar you see in today'shoje interfacesinterfaces.
28
105000
5000
02:15
AlsoTambém, if I want to addadicionar something to a pilepilha, well, how do I do that?
29
110000
2000
02:17
I just tosssorteio it to the pilepilha, and it's addedadicionado right to the toptopo. It's a kindtipo of nicebom way.
30
112000
6000
Simplesmente atiro-o para a pilha, e é adicionado logo no cimo. É uma boa maneira.
02:23
AlsoTambém some of the stuffcoisa we can do is,
31
118000
2000
02:25
for these individualIndividual iconsícones we thought -- I mean,
32
120000
2000
para estes ícones individuais nós pensámos -- quer dizer,
02:27
how can we playToque with the ideaidéia of an iconícone, and pushempurrar that furthermais distante?
33
122000
3000
02:30
And one of the things I can do is make it biggerMaior
34
125000
3000
02:33
if I want to emphasizeenfatizar it and make it more importantimportante.
35
128000
2000
02:35
But what's really coollegal is that sinceDesde a there's a physicsfísica simulationsimulação runningcorrida undersob this,
36
130000
4000
02:39
it's actuallyna realidade heaviermais pesado. So the lighterisqueiro stuffcoisa doesn't really movemover
37
134000
5000
02:44
but if I throwlançar it at the lighterisqueiro guys, right?
38
139000
4000
02:48
(LaughterRiso)
39
143000
3000
(risos)
02:51
So it's cutebonito, but it's alsoAlém disso like a subtlesutil channelcanal of conveyingtransportando a informationem formação, right?
40
146000
5000
02:56
This is heavypesado so it feelssente more importantimportante. So it's kindtipo of coollegal.
41
151000
3000
03:02
because it has a lot of, I think, valuablevalioso propertiespropriedades.
43
157000
2000
porque tem, acho eu, muitas propriedades valiosas.
03:04
And some of those we wanted to transfertransferir to the iconsícones in our systemsistema.
44
159000
3000
03:07
So one of the things you can do to our iconsícones, just like paperpapel, is creasevinco them and folddobra them,
45
162000
4000
03:11
just like paperpapel. RememberLembre-se, you know, something for latermais tarde.
46
166000
4000
tal como papel. Lembrando, tipo, alguma coisa para mais tarde.
03:15
Or if you want to be destructivedestrutivo, you can just crumplecrumple it up
47
170000
3000
03:18
and, you know, tosssorteio it to the cornercanto.
48
173000
3000
e atirá-los para um canto.
03:21
AlsoTambém just like paperpapel, around our workspaceespaço de trabalho
49
176000
3000
03:24
we'llbem pinPIN things up to the wallparede to rememberlembrar them latermais tarde,
50
179000
2000
03:26
and I can do the samemesmo thing here,
51
181000
3000
e eu posso fazer o mesmo aqui
03:29
and you know, you'llvocê vai see post-itpost-it notesnotas and things like that around people'spovos officesescritórios.
52
184000
3000
e sabem, vocês vêm notas post-it assim penduradas nos escritórios.
03:32
And I can pullpuxar them off when I want to work with them.
53
187000
2000
03:34
So, one of the criticismscríticas of this kindtipo of approachabordagem to organizationorganização is that,
54
189000
5000
03:39
you know, "Okay, well my realreal deskescrivaninha is really messybagunçado. I don't want that messbagunça on my computercomputador."
55
194000
4000
03:43
So one thing we have for that is like a gridgrade alignalinhar,
56
198000
3000
03:46
kindtipo of -- so you get that more traditionaltradicional desktopárea de trabalho. Things are kindtipo of gridgrade alignedalinhado.
57
201000
4000
03:50
More boringchato, but you still have that kindtipo of collidingcolidindo and bumpingbatendo.
58
205000
3000
03:53
And you can still do funDiversão things like make shelvesprateleiras on your desktopárea de trabalho.
59
208000
7000
04:00
Let's just breakpausa this shelfprateleira. Okay, that shelfprateleira brokequebrou.
60
215000
3000
Vamos só partir esta prateleira. Ok, aquela prateleira partiu.
04:03
I think beyondalém the iconsícones, I think anotheroutro really coollegal domaindomínio for this softwareProgramas --
61
218000
5000
04:08
I think it appliesaplica to more than just iconsícones and your desktopárea de trabalho -- but browsingnavegação photographsfotografias.
62
223000
6000
04:14
I think you can really enrichenriquecer the way we browseprocurar our photographsfotografias
63
229000
3000
04:17
and bringtrazer it to that kindtipo of shoeboxcaixa de sapatos of, you know, photosfotos with your familyfamília on the kitchencozinha tablemesa kindtipo of thing.
64
232000
5000
04:22
I can tosssorteio these things around. They're so much more tangibletangível and touchabletouchable --
65
237000
3000
Posso atirar estas coisas por ai. São muito mais tangíveis...e palpáveis...
04:25
and you know I can double-clickClique duas vezes em on something to take a look at it.
66
240000
3000
04:28
And I can do all that kindtipo of samemesmo stuffcoisa I showedmostrou you before.
67
243000
2000
04:30
So I can pilepilha things up, I can flipgiro throughatravés it, I can, you know --
68
245000
3000
Então posso fazer pilhas, folheá-las, posso --
04:33
okay, let's movemover this photofoto to the back, let's deleteexcluir this guy here,
69
248000
6000
04:39
and I think it's just a much more richrico kindtipo of way of interactinginteragindo with your informationem formação.
70
254000
4000
04:43
And that's BumpTopBumpTop. ThanksObrigado!
