What I wanted to talk to you about today is two things:
0
0
3000
00:15
one, the rise of a culture of availability;
1
3000
3000
një, mundësia e rritjes së kultures;
00:18
and two, a request.
2
6000
3000
dhe dy, një kërkes
00:21
So we're seeing a rise of this availability
3
9000
2000
00:23
being driven by mobile device proliferation,
4
11000
3000
të jemi të lëvizjes nga paisjet mobile,
00:26
globally, across all social strata.
5
14000
2000
globalisht, nepërmjet të gjitha shtresave socjale.
00:28
We're seeing, along with that proliferation of mobile devices,
6
16000
3000
00:31
an expectation of availability.
7
19000
2000
në një pritëshmeri të mundëshme.
00:33
And, with that, comes the third point,
8
21000
2000
Dhe, ajo që vjen e treta,
00:35
which is obligation -- and an obligation to that availability.
9
23000
3000
00:38
And the problem is, we're still working through,
10
26000
3000
00:41
from a societal standpoint,
11
29000
2000
nga një qëndrim socjalë,
00:43
how we allow people to be available.
12
31000
3000
00:46
There's a significant delta, in fact,
13
34000
2000
Në faktë është nje delta e rendësishme,
00:48
between what we're willing to accept.
14
36000
2000
00:50
Apologies to Hans Rosling --
15
38000
1000
Kërkim falje për Hans Rosling -0-
00:51
he said anything that's not using real stats is a lie --
16
39000
3000
00:54
but the big delta there
17
42000
2000
mirpo delta e madhë këtu
00:56
is how we deal with this from a public standpoint.
18
44000
3000
është ajo se si ne veprojmë me këtë pikëpamje publike.
00:59
So we've developed certain tactics and strategies
19
47000
3000
Pra ne kemi zhvilluar disa taktika dhe strategji
01:02
to cover up.
20
50000
2000
për ta mbuluarë.
01:04
This first one's called "the lean."
21
52000
2000
E para është quajtur "e patepëruar."
01:06
And if you've ever been in a meeting where you play sort of meeting "chicken,"
22
54000
3000
01:09
you're sitting there, looking at the person, waiting for them to look away,
23
57000
3000
01:12
and then quickly checking the device.
24
60000
2000
dhe shpejtë të kontrolloni paisjen.
01:14
Although you can see the gentleman up on the right is busting him.
25
62000
3000
Edhe pse ju mund ta shihni që njeri gjendil para jush po e shpërthen atë.
01:17
"The stretch."
26
65000
1000
"Vazhdimisht."
01:18
OK, the gentleman on the left is saying, "Screw you,
27
66000
3000
01:21
I'm going to check my device."
28
69000
2000
unë do të kontrolloj paisjen time."
01:23
But the guy, here, on the right,
29
71000
2000
Mirpo djaloshi këtu, në të djathtë,
01:25
he's doing the stretch.
30
73000
2000
ai po e bënë vazhdimishtë.
01:27
It's that reeeee-e-e-each out, the physical contortion
31
75000
2000
Është ajo arritja fizile
01:29
to get that device just below the tabletop.
32
77000
2000
01:31
Or, my favorite, the "Love you; mean it."
33
79000
3000
Apo, e preferuara ime, "Të dua; jepi kuptim."
01:34
(Laughter)
34
82000
2000
(Qeshen)
01:36
Nothing says "I love you"
35
84000
2000
Asgjë s'thot "Unë të dua"
01:38
like "Let me find somebody else I give a damn about."
36
86000
2000
01:40
Or, this one, coming to us from India.
37
88000
2000
01:42
You can find this on YouTube,
38
90000
2000
Ju mund ta gjeni këtë në YouTube,
01:44
the gentleman who's recumbent on a motorcycle
39
92000
2000
01:46
while text messaging.
40
94000
1000
gjersa po shkruan porosi.
01:47
Or what we call the "sweet gravy, stop me before I kill again!"
41
95000
4000
01:51
That is actually the device.
42
99000
3000
Kjo faktikisht është paisja.
01:54
What this is doing is, we find a --
43
102000
2000
01:56
(Laughter)
44
104000
2000
(Qeshen)
01:58
a direct collision --
45
106000
2000
një përplasje direkte --
02:02
we find a direct collision between availability --
46
110000
3000
02:05
and what's possible through availability --
47
113000
3000
dhe asaj që është e mundshme --
02:08
and a fundamental human need -- which we've been hearing about a lot, actually --
48
116000
3000
02:11
the need to create shared narratives.
49
119000
4000
neovja për krijimin e tregimeve të ndara.
02:15
We're very good at creating personal narratives,
50
123000
3000
02:18
but it's the shared narratives that make us a culture.
51
126000
3000
02:21
And when you're standing with someone,
52
129000
3000
dhe kur jeni duke qendruar me dikë,
02:24
and you're on your mobile device,
53
132000
2000
dhe ju jeni në telefon mobilë,
02:26
effectively what you're saying to them is,
54
134000
2000
02:28
"You are not as important as, literally,
55
136000
3000
"Ju nuk jeni aq i rendësishem sa,
02:31
almost anything that could come to me through this device."
56
139000
3000
02:34
Look around you.
57
142000
3000
Shiqoni rreth juve.
02:37
There might be somebody on one right now,
58
145000
2000
02:39
participating in multi-dimensional engagement.
59
147000
2000
duke participuar në një angazhim multi-dimensionalë.
02:42
(Laughter)
60
150000
2000
(Qeshen)
02:44
Our reality right now is less interesting
61
152000
3000
Raliteti ynë tani është më pak interesantë
02:47
than the story we're going to tell about it later.
62
155000
3000
02:50
This one I love.
63
158000
2000
Këtë e dua.
02:52
This poor kid, clearly a prop --
64
160000
2000
Ky fëmij i varfër, thjesht leckë --
02:54
don't get me wrong, a willing prop --
65
162000
2000
mos më keqkuptoni, një lecë me dëshirë --
02:56
but the kiss that's being documented kind of looks like it sucks.
66
164000
3000
02:59
This is the sound of one hand clapping.
67
167000
3000
Ky është zëri i një shplake dore.
03:02
So, as we lose the context of our identity,
68
170000
4000
Pra, derisa ne e humbim kontekstin e identitetit tonë,
03:06
it becomes incredibly important
69
174000
3000
bëhet shumë e rendësishme
03:09
that what you share becomes the context of shared narrative,
70
177000
3000
03:12
becomes the context in which we live.
71
180000
2000
03:14
The stories that we tell -- what we push out --
72
182000
3000
Tregimi që ne e tregojmë -- atë që ne e shtyjm --
03:17
becomes who we are.
73
185000
2000
bëhet ai që ne jemi.
03:19
People aren't simply projecting identity,
74
187000
2000
03:21
they're creating it.
75
189000
2000
ata po e krijojnë atë.
03:23
And so that's the request I have for everybody in this room.
76
191000
2000
03:25
We are creating the technology
77
193000
1000
Ne po e krijojmë teknologjinë
03:26
that is going to create the new shared experience,
78
194000
2000
e cila do të krijojë eksperienca të reja të ndara,
03:28
which will create the new world.
79
196000
2000
03:30
And so my request is,
80
198000
2000
Pra kërkesa ime është,
03:32
please, let's make technologies
81
200000
2000
ju lutem, le ta bejmë teknologjin
03:34
that make people more human,
82
202000
2000
e cila i bënë njerëzit më humanë,
03:36
and not less.
83
204000
2000
dhe jo më pak.
03:38
Thank you.
