00:23
And naturally自然, I encounter遭遇 a lot of resistance抵抗性,

00:26
because it's considered考慮 to be anti-intellectual反智

00:48
So I discovered發現 some very interesting有趣 things.
14
33000
3000
00:51
For example, there's no such這樣 thing

01:27
to do nothing.
30
72000
2000
01:29
No wonder奇蹟 people are averse規避 to doodling塗鴉 at work.
31
74000
3000
01:32
Doing nothing at work is akin類似的 to masturbating自慰 at work;
32
77000
2000
工作時不做事就好比似一隻米蟲一樣;
01:34
it's totally完全 inappropriate不當.

01:38
Additionally另外, I've heard聽說 horror恐怖 stories故事

01:43
And they have bosses老闆 who scold them for doodling塗鴉 in the boardroom會議室.

39
94000
3000
01:52
And unfortunately
40
97000
2000
01:54
the press tends趨向 to reinforce加強 this norm規範
41
99000
2000
01:56
when they're reporting報告 on a doodling塗鴉 scene現場 --
42
101000
2000
01:58
of an important重要 person at a confirmation確認 hearing聽力 and the like --
43
103000
3000
02:01
they typically一般 use words like "discovered發現"
44
106000
2000
02:03
or "caught抓住" or "found發現 out,"
45

02:05
as if there's some sort分類 of criminal刑事 act法案 being存在 committed提交.
46
110000
3000
02:08
And additionally另外, there is a psychological心理 aversion厭惡 to doodling塗鴉 --
47
113000
3000
02:11
thank you, Freud弗洛伊德.
48
116000
2000
02:13
In the 1930s, Freud弗洛伊德 told us all
49
118000
2000
02:15
that you could analyze分析 people's人們 psyches的心智
50
120000
2000
02:17
based基於 on their doodles塗鴉.
51

2000
02:19
This is not accurate準確, but it did happen發生 to Tony托尼 Blair布萊爾
52
124000
2000
02:21
at the Davos達沃斯 Forum論壇 in 2005,
53
126000
2000
02:23
when his doodles塗鴉 were, of course課程, "discovered發現"
54
128000
3000
02:26
and he was labeled標記 the following以下 things.
55
131000
3000
02:29
Now it turned轉身 out to be Bill法案 Gates'蓋茨 doodle塗鴉.
56
134000
4000
02:33
(Laughter
57
138000
2000
02:35
And Bill法案, if you're here, nobody沒有人 thinks you're megalomaniacal狂妄自大.
58
140000
4000
02:39
But that does contribute有助於
59
144000
2000
02:41
to people not wanting希望 to share分享 their doodles塗鴉.
60
146000
2000
02:43
And here is the real真實 deal合同. Here's這裡的 what I believe.
61
148000
3000
02:46
I think that our culture文化
62
151000
2000
02:48
is so intensely激烈 focused重點 on verbal口頭 information信息
63
153000
2000
02:50
that we're almost幾乎 blinded失明 to the value of doodling塗鴉.
64
155000
3000
02:53
And I'm not comfortable自在 with that.
65
158000
2000
02:55
And so because of that belief信仰 that I think needs需求 to be burst爆裂,
66
160000
3000
02:58
I'm here to send發送 us all hurtling飛馳 back to the truth真相.

04:23
So they did anthropological人類學 research研究

04:39

04:41
And I think that is incredible

04:43
I think that means手段 doodling塗鴉 is native本地人 to us

And finally最後, a lot a people aren't privy有利害關係的人 to this,
114
274000

04:51
but the doodle塗鴉 is a precursor先導
115
276000
2000
04:53
to some of our greatest最大 cultural文化 assets資產.
116
278000
2000
04:55
This is but one:

05:00
So here is my point:
119
285000
2000
05:02
Under no circumstances情況 should doodling塗鴉 be eradicated根除
120
287000
3000

05:07
or even the war戰爭 room房間.
122
292000
2000
05:09
On the contrary相反,
123
294000
2000
05:11
doodling塗鴉 should be leveraged槓桿 in precisely恰恰 those situations情況
124
296000
3000

05:16
and the need for processing處理 that information信息 is very high.

3000
05:19
And I will go you one further
