ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Hannah Bürckstümmer - Strategic marketerHannah Bürckstümmer has a vision for sustainable buildings and how organic solar cells can make it real.
Why you should listen
Hannah Bürckstümmer studied chemistry following her curiosity for why our environment is set up the way that it is -- and how new things can be created. She focused on the idea of synthesizing new dye materials for organic solar cells, and that became the topic for herPhD at the University of Würzburg in Germany. She joined Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in 2011, continuing her research into third-generation solar cells and, later, working on the strategy and marketing for organic photovoltaics (OPVs).
