3000
00:24
And I would like to make the case案件
4
9000
3000
00:27
that nuclear fusion聚變
5
12000
2000
00:29
will be that point,
6
14000
2000

00:33
will get us to.
8

00:35
So nuclear fusion聚變 is our energy能源 future未來.
9
20000

00:38
And the second第二 point,
10
23000
2000
00:40
making製造 the case案件 that kids孩子 can really change更改 the world世界.
11
25000
2000
00:42
So you may可能 ask --
12

00:44
(Applause
13
29000
4000
00:48
You may可能 ask me,
14
33000
2000
00:50
well how do you know what our energy能源 future未來 is?
15
35000
2000
00:52
Well I built內置 a fusion聚變 reactor反應堆
16
37000
2000
00:54
when I was 14 years年份 old.
17
39000
2000
00:56
That is the inside of my nuclear fusion聚變 reactor反應堆.
18
41000
3000
00:59
I started開始 building建造 this project項目
19
44000
2000

01:04
I decided決定 I wanted to make a star.
21

01:06
Now most of you are probably大概 saying,
22
51000
2000
01:08
well there's no such這樣 thing as nuclear fusion聚變.
23
53000
3000
01:11
I don't see any nuclear power功率 plants植物 with fusion聚變 energy能源.
24
56000
3000
01:14
Well it doesn't break打破 even.
25
59000
2000
01:16
It doesn't produce生產 more energy能源 out than I put in,
26
61000
2000
01:18
but it still does some pretty漂亮 cool stuff東東.
27
63000
3000
01:21
And I assembled組裝 this in my garage車庫,
28
66000
2000
01:23
and it now lives生活 in the physics物理 department
29

01:29
which哪一個 is just hydrogen with an extra額外 neutron中子 in it.
32

3000
01:32
So this is similar類似 to the reaction反應
33

01:42
and in the process處理 it has some byproducts副產品,
