Because as machines take our jobs

Jer kako mašine preuzimaju naše poslove

dok predlažem četiri, priznajem,
veoma subjektivna prinicipa

First: do the unnecessary.

Prvo: Uradite ono što nije nužno.

Pre par meseci, Hamdi Ulukaja,
01:27
the CEO and founder
of the yogurt company Chobani,

izvršni direktor i osnivač
Chobani proizvođača jogurta,
Chobani proizvođača jogurta,
01:30
made headlines when he decided to grant
stock to all of his 2,000 employees.
stock to all of his 2,000 employees.
23
78480
4560
popunio je novinske naslove jer je odlučio
da podeli akcije na 2 000 zaposlenih.
da podeli akcije na 2 000 zaposlenih.
01:35
Some called it a PR stunt,
24
83600
1936
Neki su to nazvali marketinškim trikom,
01:37
others -- a genuine act of giving back.
25
85560
2216
drugi - iskrenim činom vraćanja.
01:39
But there is something else
that was remarkable about it.
that was remarkable about it.
26
87800
2680
Međutim, bilo je nečega drugog
izvanrednog u svemu tome.
izvanrednog u svemu tome.
01:43
It came completely out of the blue.
27
91000
2056
Došlo je kao grom iz vedra neba.
01:45
There had been no market
or stakeholder pressure,
or stakeholder pressure,
28
93080
2616
Nije bilo pritiska
od strane tržišta ili akcionara,
od strane tržišta ili akcionara,
01:47
and employees were so surprised
29
95720
1976
i radnici su bili iznenađeni
01:49
that they burst into tears
when they heard the news.
when they heard the news.
30
97720
2480
da su briznuli u plač
kada su čuli tu vest.
kada su čuli tu vest.
01:53
Actions like Ulukaya's are beautiful
because they catch us off guard.
because they catch us off guard.
31
101600
3320
Potezi poput Ulukajevog su prelepi
jer nas zatiču nespremne.
jer nas zatiču nespremne.
01:57
They create something out of nothing
32
105480
2496
Oni stvaraju nešto iz ničega
02:00
because they're completely unnecessary.
33
108000
2240
jer su potpuno izlišni.
02:04
I once worked at a company
34
112040
2056
Jednom prilikom sam radio u kompaniji
02:06
that was the result of a merger
35
114120
1576
koja je nastala spajanjem
02:07
of a large IT outsourcing firm
and a small design firm.
and a small design firm.
36
115720
3656
ogromne IT outsourcing firme
i male dizajnerske firme.
i male dizajnerske firme.
02:11
We were merging 9,000 software engineers
37
119400
1976
Spojili smo 9 000 softverskih inžinjera
02:13
with 1,000 creative types.
38
121400
1760
sa 1 000 kreativnih likova.
02:15
And to unify these
immensely different cultures,
immensely different cultures,
39
123800
2736
I kako bismo ujedinili ove
neverovatno različite kulture,
neverovatno različite kulture,
02:18
we were going to launch
a third, new brand.
a third, new brand.
40
126560
3056
nameravli smo da izbacimo
treći, novi brend.
treći, novi brend.
02:21
And the new brand color
was going to be orange.
was going to be orange.
41
129639
3497
A boja tog novog brenda
trebalo je da bude narandžasta.
trebalo je da bude narandžasta.
02:25
And as we were going
through the budget for the rollouts,
through the budget for the rollouts,
42
133160
3416
I dok smo razmatrali budžet za pokretanje,
02:28
we decided last minute
43
136600
2056
u poslednjem trenutku smo odlučili
02:30
to cut the purchase
of 10,000 orange balloons,
of 10,000 orange balloons,
44
138680
3656
da obustavimo nabavku
10 000 narandžastih balona,
10 000 narandžastih balona,
02:34
which we had meant
to distribute to all staff worldwide.
to distribute to all staff worldwide.
45
142360
2800
koje smo nameravali
da podelimo zaposlenima širom sveta.
da podelimo zaposlenima širom sveta.
02:37
They just seemed
unnecessary and cute in the end.
unnecessary and cute in the end.
46
145800
3160
Izgledali su samo izlišno
i slatko na kraju.
i slatko na kraju.
02:41
I didn't know back then
47
149920
1896
Tada nisam znao
02:43
that our decision
marked the beginning of the end --
marked the beginning of the end --
48
151840
2536
da je naša odluka označila početak kraja -
02:46
that these two organizations
would never become one.
would never become one.
49
154400
2640
da ove dve organizacije
nikada neće postati jedna.
nikada neće postati jedna.
02:49
And sure enough,
the merger eventually failed.
the merger eventually failed.
50
157920
2696
I ono što je sigurno,
konglomerat je na kraju propao.
konglomerat je na kraju propao.
02:52
Now, was it because
there weren't any orange balloons?
there weren't any orange balloons?
51
160640
2816
Da li se to desilo zato što
nije bilo narandžastih balona?
nije bilo narandžastih balona?
02:55
No, of course not.
52
163480
1600
Ne, naravno da ne.
02:57
But the kill-the-orange-balloons
mentality permeated everything else.
mentality permeated everything else.
53
165880
4040
Ali odustajanje od ideje sa balonima
proželo je sve ostalo.
proželo je sve ostalo.
03:03
You might not always realize it,
but when you cut the unnecessary,
but when you cut the unnecessary,
54
171120
3776
Možda to ne shavatite uvek,
ali kada odustanete od nenužnog,
ali kada odustanete od nenužnog,
03:06
you cut everything.
55
174920
1480
odustajete od svega.
03:09
Leading with beauty means
rising above what is merely necessary.
rising above what is merely necessary.
56
177280
4520
Vođenje sa lepotom znači izdizanje
iznad onoga što je čisto neophodno.
iznad onoga što je čisto neophodno.
03:14
So do not kill your orange balloons.
57
182760
3160
Zato ne odustajte od narandžastih balona.
03:19
The second principle:
58
187040
1656
Drugi princip:
03:20
create intimacy.
59
188720
1336
stvorite bliskost.
03:22
[Create Intimacy]
60
190080
1376
[Stvorite bliskost]
03:23
Studies show that
how we feel about our workplace
how we feel about our workplace
61
191480
2816
Studije pokazuju da ono što mislimo
o svom radnom mestu
o svom radnom mestu
03:26
very much depends on the relationships
with our coworkers.
with our coworkers.
62
194320
2720
dosta zavisi od odnosa sa kolegama.
03:29
And what are relationships
other than a string of microinteractions?
other than a string of microinteractions?
63
197680
3416
A šta su drugo ti odnosi
nego niz mikrointerakcija?
nego niz mikrointerakcija?
03:33
There are hundreds of these
every day in our organizations
every day in our organizations
64
201120
3216
Svakodnevno ih se dešava
na stotine u našim organizacijama
na stotine u našim organizacijama
03:36
that have the potential to distinguish
a good life from a beautiful one.
a good life from a beautiful one.
65
204360
4280
i imaju tu mogućnost da razdvoje
dobar život od divnog.
dobar život od divnog.
03:41
The marriage researcher John Gottman says
66
209480
1976
Istraživač brakova Džon Gotman kaže
03:43
that the secret of a healthy relationship
67
211480
2616
da tajna zdrave veze
03:46
is not the great gesture
or the lofty promise,
or the lofty promise,
68
214120
3056
nije sjajan gest ili velikodušno obećanje,
03:49
it's small moments of attachment.
69
217200
2200
to su kratki trenuci privrženosti.
03:52
In other words, intimacy.
70
220200
1680
Drugim rečima, bliskost.
03:55
In our networked organizations,
71
223120
1536
U našim umreženim organizacijama
03:56
we tout the strength of weak ties
72
224680
2616
podstičemo snagu slabih veza
03:59
but we underestimate
the strength of strong ones.
the strength of strong ones.
73
227320
2856
ali zanemarujemo snagu onih jakih.
04:02
We forget the words of the writer
Richard Bach who once said,
Richard Bach who once said,
74
230200
2896
Zaboravljamo reči pisca Ričarda Baha
koji je jednom rekao:
koji je jednom rekao:
04:05
"Intimacy --
75
233120
1216
"Bliskost -
04:06
not connectedness --
76
234360
1216
ne povezanost -
04:07
intimacy is the opposite of loneliness."
77
235600
2320
bliskost je suprotna od usamljenosti."
04:10
So how do we design
for organizational intimacy?
for organizational intimacy?
78
238920
3360
Kako onda da stvorimo
bliskost unutar organizacija?
bliskost unutar organizacija?
04:15
The humanitarian organization CARE
79
243480
1856
Humanitarna organizacija CARE želela je
04:17
wanted to launch
a campaign on gender equality
a campaign on gender equality
80
245360
2376
da pokrene kampanju
o rodnoj ravnopravnosti
o rodnoj ravnopravnosti
04:19
in villages in northern India.
81
247760
1480
u selima u severnoj Indiji.
04:22
But it realized quickly
82
250120
1256
Međutim, ubrzo su shvatili
04:23
that it had to have this conversation
first with its own staff.
first with its own staff.
83
251400
2960
da su ovaj razgovor prvo morali
da urade sa svojim osobljem.
da urade sa svojim osobljem.
04:26
So it invited all 36 team members
and their partners
and their partners
84
254960
5056
Tako su pozvali svih 36 članova tima
i njihove partnere
i njihove partnere
04:32
to one of the Khajuraho Temples,
85
260040
1736
u jedan od Kadžuraho hramova,
04:33
known for their famous erotic sculptures.
86
261800
2760
poznatom po erotskim skulpturama.
04:37
And there they openly discussed
their personal relationships --
their personal relationships --
87
265520
3576
Tu su otvoreno diskutovali
o svojim ličnim vezama -
o svojim ličnim vezama -
04:41
their own experiences of gender equality
88
269120
2560
sopstvenim iskustvima
u vezi sa rodnom ravnopravnošću
u vezi sa rodnom ravnopravnošću
04:44
with the coworkers and the partners.
89
272520
2496
sa kolegama i partnerima.
04:47
It was eye-opening for the participants.
90
275040
2296
Bilo im je to neverovatno iskustvo.
04:49
Not only did it allow them
to relate to the communities they serve,
to relate to the communities they serve,
91
277360
4016
Ne samo da im je dozvolilo
da se povežu sa zajednicama kojima služe,
da se povežu sa zajednicama kojima služe,
04:53
it also broke down invisible barriers
92
281400
2536
već su se srušile i nevidljive prepreke
04:55
and created a lasting bond
amongst themselves.
amongst themselves.
93
283960
2216
i stvorile trajne veze između njih samih.
04:58
Not a single team member
quit in the next four years.
quit in the next four years.
94
286200
3760
Nijedan jedini član nije napustio
tim u naredne četiri godine.
tim u naredne četiri godine.
05:03
So this is how you create intimacy.
95
291200
1960
Tako se kreira bliskost.
05:05
No masks ...
96
293720
1360
Bez maski...
05:07
or lots of masks.
97
295920
1616
ili sa puno maski.
05:09
(Laughter)
98
297560
1216
(Smeh)
05:10
When Danone, the food company,
99
298800
1456
Kada je Danone, fabrika hrane,
05:12
wanted to translate its new company
manifesto into product initiatives,
manifesto into product initiatives,
100
300280
3560
želela da prevede svoj novi manifest
u inicijative proizvoda,
u inicijative proizvoda,
05:16
it gathered the management team
101
304520
2176
okupila je menadžment
05:18
and 100 employees
from across different departments,
from across different departments,
102
306720
3616
i 100 zaposlenih iz različitih sektora,
05:22
seniority levels and regions
103
310360
1616
nivoa i regiona
05:24
for a three-day strategy retreat.
104
312000
2120
na trodnevni strateški odmor.
05:26
And it asked everybody
to wear costumes for the entire meeting:
to wear costumes for the entire meeting:
105
314800
3456
I sve su ih zamolili da tokom
čitavog sastanka nose kostime:
čitavog sastanka nose kostime:
05:30
wigs, crazy hats, feather boas,
106
318280
3096
perike, smešne šešire, perjane šalove,
05:33
huge glasses and so on.
107
321400
1400
glomazne naočare i slično.
05:35
And they left with concrete outcomes
108
323560
2256
Završili su sastanak
da konkretnim rezultatima
da konkretnim rezultatima
05:37
and full of enthusiasm.
109
325840
1680
i puni entuzijazma.
05:40
And when I asked the woman
who had designed this experience
who had designed this experience
110
328040
2976
Kada sam pitao ženu
koja je osmislila ovaj događaj
koja je osmislila ovaj događaj
05:43
why it worked,
111
331040
1216
zašto je prošlo uspešno,
05:44
she simply said, "Never underestimate
the power of a ridiculous wig."
the power of a ridiculous wig."
112
332280
3816
jednostavno je rekla: "Nikad
ne potcenjujte moć blesave perike."
ne potcenjujte moć blesave perike."
05:48
(Laughter)
113
336120
1176
(Smeh)
05:49
(Applause)
114
337320
2360
(Aplauz)
05:52
Because wigs erase hierarchy,
115
340880
3176
Znate, perike brišu hijerarhiju,
05:56
and hierarchy kills intimacy --
116
344080
1856
a hijerarhija ubija bliskost -
05:57
both ways,
117
345960
1216
obostrano,
05:59
for the CEO and the intern.
118
347200
1680
i kod menadžera i kod podređenih.
06:01
Wigs allow us to use
the disguise of the false
the disguise of the false
119
349440
4136
Perike nam omogućavaju
da sakrijemo ono lažno
da sakrijemo ono lažno
06:05
to show something true about ourselves.
120
353600
2440
da bismo pokazali nešto istinito o nama.
06:09
And that's not easy
in our everyday work lives,
in our everyday work lives,
121

A to nije lako u našem svakodnevnom poslu
06:11
because the relationship
with our organizations
with our organizations
122
359360
2336
jer veza sa našom organizacijom
06:13
is often like that of a married couple
that has grown apart,
that has grown apart,
123
361720
3880
često podseća na odnos supružnika
koji su se udaljili jedno od drugog,
koji su se udaljili jedno od drugog,
06:18
suffered betrayals and disappointments,
124
366240
3016
prošli kroz izdaje i razočarenja,
06:21
and is now desperate to be beautiful
for one another once again.
for one another once again.
125
369280
3320
i sada očajno žele da budu lepi
jedni za drugo ponovo.
jedni za drugo ponovo.
06:25
And for either of us the first step
towards beauty involves a huge risk.
towards beauty involves a huge risk.
126
373880
3480
Za svakog od nas jedan od prvih koraka
ka lepoti uključuje ogroman rizik.
ka lepoti uključuje ogroman rizik.
06:30
The risk to be ugly.
127
378520
1216
Da ćemo ispasti ružni.
06:31
[Be Ugly]
128
379760
1336
[Budite ružni]
06:33
So many organizations these days
are keen on designing beautiful workplaces
are keen on designing beautiful workplaces
129
381120
4256
Danas vrlo mnogo organizacija
teži da osmisli lepa radna mesta
teži da osmisli lepa radna mesta
06:37
that look like anything but work:
130
385400
1616
koja nimalo ne liče na posao:
06:39
vacation resorts, coffee shops,
playgrounds or college campuses --
playgrounds or college campuses --
131
387040
4016
odmarališta, kafići,
igrališta ili kampusi na koledžu.
igrališta ili kampusi na koledžu.
06:43
(Laughter)
132
391080
1216
(Smeh)
06:44
Based on the promises
of positive psychology,
of positive psychology,
133
392320
2176
Zasnovano na obećanjima
pozitivne psihologije,
pozitivne psihologije,
06:46
we speak of play and gamification,
134
394520
3376
mi pričamo o igranju i gejmifikaciji,
06:49
and one start-up even says
that when someone gets fired,
that when someone gets fired,
135
397920
3536
i jedan startap čak kaže
da kada neko dobije otkaz,
da kada neko dobije otkaz,
06:53
they have graduated.
136
401480
1296
taj neko je diplomirao.
06:54
(Laughter)
137
402800
1976
(Smeh)
06:56
That kind of beautiful language
only goes "skin deep,
only goes "skin deep,
138
404800
3496
Ta vrsta lepog jezika je samo "površinska,
07:00
but ugly cuts clean to the bone,"
139
408320
3240
ali ružna posekotina doseže do kosti",
07:04
as the writer Dorothy Parker once put it.
140
412240
2216
kako je jednom rekla pisac Doroti Parker.
07:06
To be authentic is to be ugly.
141
414480
3520
Biti autentičan znači biti ružan.
07:10
It doesn't mean that you can't have fun
or must give in to the vulgar or cynical,
or must give in to the vulgar or cynical,
142
418800
4416
To ne znači da će vam biti dosadno,
da morate biti vulgarni ili cinični,
da morate biti vulgarni ili cinični,
07:15
but it does mean that you speak
the actual ugly truth.
the actual ugly truth.
143
423240
3400
ali znači pričati stvarnu, ružnu istinu.
07:19
Like this manufacturer
144
427760
1256
Kao ovaj proizvođač
07:21
that wanted to transform
one of its struggling business units.
one of its struggling business units.
145
429040
3736
koji je želeo da preobrati jednu
od poslovnih jedinica u problemima.
od poslovnih jedinica u problemima.
07:24
It identified, named and pinned
on large boards all the issues --
on large boards all the issues --
146
432800
3416
Identifikovali su, imenovali i prikačili
na velikoj tabli sve probleme -
na velikoj tabli sve probleme -
07:28
and there were hundreds of them --
147
436240
1656
a bilo ih je na stotine -
07:29
that had become obstacles
to better performance.
to better performance.
148
437920
2296
koji su postali prepreke
boljim rezultatima.
boljim rezultatima.
07:32
They put them on boards,
moved them all into one room,
moved them all into one room,
149
440240
2576
Stavili su ih na table,
stavili ih sve u jednu sobu,
stavili ih sve u jednu sobu,
07:34
which they called "the ugly room."
150
442840
2256
koju su nazvali "ružna soba".
07:37
The ugly became visible
for everyone to see --
for everyone to see --
151
445120
2376
To ružno je bilo vidljivo svima -
07:39
it was celebrated.
152
447520
1816
slavili su ga.
07:41
And the ugly room served as a mix
of mirror exhibition and operating room --
of mirror exhibition and operating room --
153
449360
3856
Ružna soba bila je i izložba
sa ogledalima i operativna soba -
sa ogledalima i operativna soba -
07:45
a biopsy on the living flesh
to cut out all the bureaucracy.
to cut out all the bureaucracy.
154
453240
3520
biopsija živog mesa
kako bi se odstranila sva birokratija.
kako bi se odstranila sva birokratija.
07:50
The ugliest part of our body is our brain.
155
458640
3200
Najružniji deo tela je naš mozak.
07:54
Literally and neurologically.
156
462640
2536
I bukvalno i neurološki.
07:57
Our brain renders ugly
what is unfamiliar ...
what is unfamiliar ...
157
465200
3240
Naš mozak doživljava kao ružno
sve što je nepoznato -
sve što je nepoznato -
08:01
modern art, atonal music,
158
469440
1976
modernu umetnost, atonalnu muziku,
08:03
jazz, maybe --
159
471440
1216
džez, možda -
08:04
VR goggles for that matter --
160
472680
1696
VR naočare kad smo već tu -
08:06
strange objects, sounds and people.
161
474400
3080
čudne predmete, zvukove i ljude.
08:10
But we've all been ugly once.
162
478320
2176
No, svi smo mi bili jednom ružni.
08:12
We were a weird-looking baby,
163
480520
1680
Bili smo bebe čudnjikavog izgleda,
08:14
a new kid on the block, a foreigner.
164
482880
2280
novi klinci na ulici, stranci.
08:17
And we will be ugly again
when we don't belong.
when we don't belong.
165
485960
3480
A bićemo i ponovo ružni
kada negde ne pripadamo.
kada negde ne pripadamo.
08:23
The Center for Political Beauty,

08:25
an activist collective in Berlin,
167
493240

jedan skup aktivista u Berlinu,
08:26
recently staged an extreme
artistic intervention.
artistic intervention.
168
494880
2680
nedavno je izveo jednu ekstremnu
umetničku intervenciju.
umetničku intervenciju.
08:30
With the permission of relatives,
169
498200
1896
Uz saglasnost rođaka,
08:32
it exhumed the corpses of refugees
who had drowned at Europe's borders,
who had drowned at Europe's borders,
170
500120
4136
ekshumirani su leševi izbeglica
koje su se udavile na evropskim granicama,
koje su se udavile na evropskim granicama,
08:36
transported them all the way to Berlin,
171
504280
1896
transportovani su sve do Berlina,
08:38
and then reburied them
at the heart of the German capital.
at the heart of the German capital.
172
506200
2800
i onda su ih ponovo sahranili
u srcu nemačke prestonice.
u srcu nemačke prestonice.
08:42
The idea was to allow them
to reach their desired destination,
to reach their desired destination,
173
510400
3696
Ideja je bila da im se dozvoli
da dođu do željenog odredišta,
da dođu do željenog odredišta,
08:46
if only after their death.
174
514120
1640
pa makar i nakon smrti.
08:48
Such acts of beautification
may not be pretty,
may not be pretty,
175
516960
3016
Takvi činovi ulepšavanja možda nisu lepi,
08:52
but they are much needed.
176
520000
1256
ali su preko potrebni.
08:53
Because things tend to get ugly
when there's only one meaning, one truth,
when there's only one meaning, one truth,
177
521280
3456
Jer izgleda da stvari poružne kada
postoji jedno značenje i jedna istina,
postoji jedno značenje i jedna istina,
08:56
only answers and no questions.
178
524760
1440
samo odgovori, a ne i pitanja.
08:58
Beautiful organizations
keep asking questions.
keep asking questions.
179
526880
3000
Prelepe organizacije
stalno postavljaju pitanja.
stalno postavljaju pitanja.
09:02
They remain incomplete,
180
530480
2120
One ostaju nedovršene,
09:05
which is the fourth
and the last of the principles.
and the last of the principles.
181
533275
2381
što je četvrti i ujedno poslednji princip.
09:07
[Remain Incomplete]
182
535680
1536
[Ostanite nedovršeni]
09:09
Recently I was in Paris,
183
537240
1320
Nedavno sam bio u Parizu,
09:11
and a friend of mine
took me to Nuit Debout,
took me to Nuit Debout,
184
539400
2976
i jedan prijatelj me je odveo
do Nuit Debout
do Nuit Debout
09:14
which stands for "up all night,"
185
542400
1536
što znači "budni cele noći",
09:15
the self-organized protest movement
186
543960
1936
samo-organizovanog protestnog pokreta,
09:17
that had formed in response
to the proposed labor laws in France.

09:22
Every night, hundreds gathered
at the Place de la République.
at the Place de la République.
188
550680
3216
Svake noći, stotine ljudi se okupljaju
na Trgu republike.

09:25
Every night they set up
a small, temporary village
a small, temporary village
189
553920
2576
Svake noći postavljaju
malo, privremeno selo
malo, privremeno selo
09:28
to deliberate their own vision
of the French Republic.
of the French Republic.
190
556520
2600
kako bi razmotrili sopstvenu
viziju o Francuskoj.
viziju o Francuskoj.
09:32
And at the core of this adhocracy
191
560120
2656
A u srži ove adhokratije
09:34
was a general assembly
where anybody could speak
where anybody could speak
192
562800
2256
bilo je opšte okupljanje
gde bi svi govorili
gde bi svi govorili
09:37
using a specially designed sign language.
193
565080
2600
koristeći posebno osmišljen jezik simbola.
09:40
Like Occupy Wall Street
and other protest movements,
and other protest movements,
194
568920
3256
Poput Okupirajmo Volstrit
i drugih protestnih pokreta,
i drugih protestnih pokreta,
09:44
Nuit Debout was born
in the face of crisis.
in the face of crisis.
195
572200
2896
Nuit Debout je nastao zbog krize.
09:47
It was messy --
196
575120
1456
Bio je zbrkan -
09:48
full of controversies and contradictions.
197
576600
2320
sa dosta kontroverzi i kontradikcija.
09:51
But whether you agreed
with the movement's goals or not,
with the movement's goals or not,
198
579920
2776
Ali, bilo da se slažete
da cilljevima pokreta ili ne,
da cilljevima pokreta ili ne,
09:54
every gathering was
a beautiful lesson in raw humanity.
a beautiful lesson in raw humanity.
199
582720
3720
svako okupljanje je bilo
divna lekcija iz osnovne humanosti.
divna lekcija iz osnovne humanosti.
09:59
And how fitting that Paris --
200
587640
2016
A poklopilo se i to da Pariz -
10:01
the city of ideals, the city of beauty --
201
589680
2776
grad ideala, grad lepote -
10:04
was it's stage.
202
592480
1216
bude njihova pozornica.
10:05
It reminds us that like great cities,
203
593720
1816
To nas podseća da kao i veliki gradovi,
10:07
the most beautiful organizations
are ideas worth fighting for --
are ideas worth fighting for --
204
595560
4176
tako su i najlepše organizacije
ideje za koje se vredi boriti -
ideje za koje se vredi boriti -
10:11
even and especially
when their outcome is uncertain.
when their outcome is uncertain.
205
599760
3040
čak i ako je, tj. posebno ako je
ishod neizvestan.
ishod neizvestan.
10:15
They are movements;
206
603480
1296
Oni su pokreti;
10:16
they are always imperfect,
never fully organized,
never fully organized,
207
604800
2336
oni su uvek nesavršeni,
nikada skroz organizovani,
nikada skroz organizovani,
10:19
so they avoid ever becoming banal.
208
607160
2696
tako da ne mogu nikad postati banalni.
10:21
They have something
but we don't know what it is.
but we don't know what it is.
209
609880
2336
Imaju nešto, ali mi ne znamo šta.
10:24
They remain mysterious;
we can't take our eyes off them.
we can't take our eyes off them.
210
612240
2936
Ostaju tajnoviti: ne možemo
skrenuti pogled sa njih.
skrenuti pogled sa njih.
10:27
We find them beautiful.
211
615200
1960
Mislimo da su prelepi.
10:31
So to do the unnecessary,
212
619240
1856
Da bi se uradilo ono nenužno,
10:33
to create intimacy,
213
621120
1656
da bi se stvorila bliskost,
10:34
to be ugly,
214
622800
1496
da bi se bilo ružno,
10:36
to remain incomplete --
215
624320
1560
da bi se ostalo nedovršeno -
10:38
these are not only the qualities
of beautiful organizations,
of beautiful organizations,
216
626560
2976
ovo nisu samo odlike
prelepih organizacija,
prelepih organizacija,
10:41
these are inherently
human characteristics.
human characteristics.
217
629560
2440
ovo su suštinske ljudske karakteristike.
10:44
And these are also the qualities
of what we call home.
of what we call home.
218
632600
3640
Ovo su takođe kvaliteti
onoga što nazivamo domom.
onoga što nazivamo domom.
10:49
And as we disrupt, and are disrupted,
219
637520
2416
I dok ometamo, i dok nas ometaju,
10:51
the least we can do is to ensure
220
639960
2296
najmanje što možemo je da budemo sigurni
10:54
that we still feel at home
in our organizations,
in our organizations,
221
642280
4016
da se još osećamo kao kod kuće
u našim organizacijama,
u našim organizacijama,
10:58
and that we use our organizations
to create that feeling for others.
to create that feeling for others.
222
646320
3400
i da koristimo naše organizacije
kako bismo stvorili taj osećaj drugima.
kako bismo stvorili taj osećaj drugima.
11:02
Beauty can save the world
when we embrace these principles
when we embrace these principles
223
650600
3096
Lepota može spasiti svet
kada prihvatimo ove principe
kada prihvatimo ove principe
11:05
and design for them.
224
653720
1480
i radimo na njima.
11:08
In the face of artificial intelligence

and machine learning,
225
656160
3216
U svetu veštačke inteligencije
i mašinskog učenja,
i mašinskog učenja,
11:11
we need a new radical humanism.
226
659400
2336
treba nam novi radikalni humanizam.
11:13
We must acquire and promote
a new aesthetic and sentimental education.
a new aesthetic and sentimental education.
227
661760
4400
Moramo usvojiti i promovisati
novo estetsko i sentimentalno obrazovanje.
novo estetsko i sentimentalno obrazovanje.
11:19
Because if we don't,
228
667320
1360
Jer ako to ne uradimo,
11:21
we might end up feeling like aliens
229
669360
2456
možda se na kraju budemo
osećali kao stranci
osećali kao stranci
11:23
in organizations and societies
that are full of smart machines

230
671840

that have no appreciation whatsoever

koje nemaju nikakvog obzira
11:30
for the unnecessary,
232
678720

za nenužno,

the intimate,
233

the incomplete

za nedovršeno

and definitely not for the ugly.
235

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Tim Leberecht - Business romanticA humanist in Silicon Valley, Tim Leberecht argues that in a time of artificial intelligence, big data and the quantification of everything, we are losing sight of the importance of the emotional and social aspects of our work.
Why you should listen
In his book The Business Romantic: Give Everything, Quantify Nothing, and Create Something Greater Than Yourself, Tim Leberecht invites us to rediscover romance, beauty and serendipity by designing products, experiences, and organizations that "make us fall back in love with our work and our life." The book inspired the creation of the Business Romantic Society, a global collective of artists, developers, designers and researchers who share the mission of bringing beauty to business. Now running strategy consulting firm Leberecht & Partners, he was previously the chief marketing officer at NBBJ, a global design and architecture firm, and at Frog Design. He also co-founded the "15 Toasts" dinner series that creates safe spaces for people to have conversations on difficult topics.
