de amor sobre os números primos.
with a love poem about prime numbers.
"Prime Time Loving."
é que eu não chamei assim.
side of the bed.
on one side of his head.
it’s because of the way that he slept.
que foi por causa do lado em que dormiu.
and be subtly impressed
e ficou impressionado,
assim, casualmente bagunçado.
and yet casually messed.
agraciado: 60 atravessava a rua.
sees the sight that he gets blessed with
dressed in something suitable.
vestida apropriadamente.
more on cue than a snooker ball
que uma bola de bilhar,
that he knew her favorite flower.
qual era a sua flor favorita.
every minute, every hour.
a cada minuto, a cada hora.
he’d never get the girl.
nunca teria a garota.
across the street
admirava as formas perfeitas de 60,
perfectly round figure,
(Risos)
(Laughter)
era "Os 101 Dálmatas".
was "101 Dalmatians."
de que eram amantes amaldiçoados.
they were star-crossed lovers.
and evens because they had each other.
pois tinham um ao outro.
imposta pela mãe: o diverso não é igual.
imposed on her by her mother
stupid and dumb
controlada pela mãe estúpida,
by her stupid mum,
resultado: afaste 59 de 60 e fique com um.
by the simple sum.
and you’re left with the one.
de profunda tristeza,
of moping around,
and his parents were out.
e viu uns números meio bizarros na porta.
he went into a house
numbers on the door,
nunca se apresentou antes.
introduced himself before,
dropped in awe.
(Risos)
(Laughter)
and an approachable smile,
e um sorriso acolhedor,
the edges, casual style,
was in disorganized piles,
if friends stayed a while.
and he liked her.
que ele era como ela.
if she knew he was like her,
a garota era fantástica.
I mean, this girl was wicked,
e perguntou o seu número.
and asked for her digits.
He grinned, said, "I'm 59."
Quer vir à minha casa amanhã?
you could come over to mine?
incomum como ela.
just as quirky,
primeiro encontro não oficial.
ready one minute early,
um minuto atrasada.
she arrived one minute late.
foi um papo sem parar.
there was nonstop chatter,
como tinham 2 fatores.
how they had two factors,
distinctiveness made them better,
they were meant together.
da arrogância de 60,
about stuck-up 60,
because it led to us.”
porque levou até nós."
not prone to jealousy,
sem tendência ao ciúme.
and told him quite tenderly,
e disse com bastante ternura:
para ser o dobro do que 60 poderia ser".
to become twice what 60 could ever be."
lágrimas nos olhos.
this one-of-a-kind girl in his life.
única em sua vida.
definition of being prime
poderia seu coração dividir,
and himself could his heart divide,
seu coração entregar.
to give his heart to,
que os filmes eram meia-verdade,
and now she knew the films were half true.
apenas um amor de amostra.
that love was just a sample,
eles são o exemplo primeiro.
they were a prime example.

de poesia "números primos-temática".
a prime number-themed poetry competition.

em poesia "números primos-temática",
um "primeiro ministro". (Risos)

these things called poetry slams,
essa coisa chamada "poetry slams",
a poetry slam is,
in America 30 years ago
nos Estados Unidos há 30 anos
into going to poetry events
a irem a eventos de poesia
like "slam" on the end.
como "slam" - "batida" - no final.
three minutes to perform
mostram tabelas de pontuação,
would hold up scorecards,
with a numerical score,
entre artista e público,
between performer and audience
of connection with the listener.
que você pode ganhar.
you can call yourself a slam champion
chamar a si mesmo de campeão da "batida"
(Risos)
"Oh, what? Poetry's a subjective art form,
pode dizer: "Quê? Poesia é arte subjetiva.

to travel the world since doing it,
viajar o mundo fazendo isso.
é, tecnicamente, o melhor poema do mundo.

ou pessoas "pop-up" de papel púrpura.
Maybe pop-up purple paper people.
pop-up de papel púrpura?"
pop-up purple paper people?"
pop-up purple paper people
pessoas pop-up de papel púrpura
purple people paperclip,
pop-up de papel púrpura,
adhesives as alternatives,
se acaso o papel cair, pois...
just in case the paper slipped.
com os políticos de papel.
paper people politics.
e suas papeladas políticas,
paper-thin policies,
without appropriate apologies.
E um papelzinho de você.
And a little paper you.
e seria tudo "pay-per-view".
and it would all be pay-per-view.
rap about their paper package
com rap sobre pacotes de papel
get stuck in paper traffic on the A4.
presas num trânsito de papel da A4.
Papel.
mas só olharíamos a "Pippa" de papel.
but we’d all stare at paper Pippa,
de Jack, o Estripador de Papel,
killer Jack the Paper-Ripper,
propagates the people's prejudices,
propaga o preconceito das pessoas,
photogenic terrorists.
de terroristas fotogênicos.
And a little paper you.
E um papelzinho de você.
people’s problems pop up too.
problemas pululam também.
de papel que seria intocável,
who remained out of touch,
about all the paper cuts,
das pessoas contra cortes de papel;
would get blown to paper pieces,
acabariam em papel picado,
usados pela polícia preventiva.
manned by pre-emptive police.
e ainda haveria ganância por papel.
so there’d still be paper greed,
pocketing more than they need,
embolsam mais do que precisam;
to pepper their paper properties,
propriedades de papel.
and ain’t acknowledged properly.
com tantos próprios pobres,
where so many are proper poor,
o dinheiro vai para as guerras.
the money goes to big wars.
desdobram aviões de papel plano,
unfold plans for paper planes
in our own paper chains,
em nossa própria cadeia de papel,
is that it always seems to stay the same,
é que são sempre os mesmos
choosing how to lay the blame,
escolhendo como lançar a culpa,
forgetting these are names of people,
que são nomes de pessoas,
it all comes down to people.
são sempre as pessoas quem podem inspirar,
who are able to inspire,
ver como as pessoas interagem.
it’s hard to see how we all cope.
there’s still hope,
ainda há esperança,
'cause I believe in people.
porque creio nas pessoas.
toda manhã para rezar por mim.
to pray for me.
de alguém vendo se eu estou bem,
of someone checking I’m okay,
plays with prisoners.
que trabalha com presos.
of genuine forgiveness.
to make your life better,
e não esperam nada em troca.
para ser poderosas.
to be powerful.
tend to pretend to be victims
costumam fingir ser vítimas,
And a little paper you.
E um papelzinho de você.
people's problems pop up too,
problemas pululam também,
then we’d still make it through.
desabar, ainda podemos continuar.
I've just got time for one more.
para mais uma.

of ideas without frontiers.

with a happy life, it was too normal,

where I could talk about my experiences

Obrigado por estarem aqui.
seria como a passagem de som de ontem.
like the sound check yesterday.
"O Garoto Ensolarado".
"The Sunshine Kid."
ao ver o garoto correr,
to see his little boy run,
nor the problems overcome,
ou dos problemas porvir,
remained a sunny one.
sua alegria permanecia ensolarada.
esconder seu brilho.
to hide his brightness,
tem seu período difícil.
hits periods of hardship,
to inspire them through the darkness.
para inspirar através da escuridão.
ele era uma nébula,
he was born in a nebula,
was thought of as regular,
como sujeito comum,
deixava meio bronze.
seemed to turn a little bronze,
por uns mais que por outros.
by some more than others,
and his dreamcoat and his brothers
had its pros and its cons,
tem seus prós e contras,
que ilumina, como as Pessoas Sombra.
in those he outshone
do Garoto Ensolarado.
didn’t like the Sunshine Kid,
the Shadow People did,
sombrias que elas faziam;
em que elas se escondiam.
the places where the Shadow People hid,
primeiro, riram de suas sardas.
an evil plan to get rid of him,
their words were gunshots,
para lembrá-lo que ele não era tão legal,
he wasn’t very cool
popular kids at school.
e que o trariam de volta à Terra;
and they would bring him down to Earth,
e era isso que ele valia.
and that is what he was worth,
para aprender, os únicos graus que colou,
to university to learn,
would be the first degree burns
daqueles que chegaram muito perto.
ninguém nunca lhe olhou nos olhos.
looked him in the eyes,
como o sol a chorar.
With evaporated tears
with a warm personality,
of the shadowy folk
do pessoal sombrio
and left cavities,
e deixavam vazios.
seu brilho escurecia.
his spark darkened,
esfriavam suas chamas.
it cooled his flames,
if he kept his light dim
se deixasse sua luz apagada,
she had terrible aim,
que a luz tinha péssima mira.
with what they said,
pelo que diziam.
by what they said,
A Estrela Solitária, o Texas,
in his solar plexus.
Little Miss Sunshine came along
Ensolarada apareceu.
about how we’re made to be strong,
sermos feitos para ser fortes,
Just be true to who you are,
apenas ser honesto consigo mesmo,
her image burned in his retina,
queimou-lhe a retina,
and she accepted him,
whenever she was next to him,
e ele ousou sonhar.
and he dared to dream,
when she was there he beamed,
não dava para fingir.
in ways that can’t be faked,
apagavam as palavras de ódio.
the razor-tipped words of hate,
eram "estrela-guia" e "sol maior",
they were "cool star" and "fun sun,"
a sombra do mal foi desfeita.
damage became undone,
and she was brilliant,
reptilians vermillion,
do mais frio réptil.
de chilenos a brasileiros,
from Chileans to Brazilians,
the meaning of resilience.
o sentido de resiliência.
não pode apagar a luz de uma simples vela,
from a single candle
deter a sua luz?
handle your light?
and the sky is the limit,
o céu é o limite,
através da chama."
then she drew back the curtains
abra as cortinas
through the hurting.
essas estrelas se juntaram.
these stars stuck together,
the memories would last forever,
as memórias permanecerão,
tudo ficará bem, o garoto brilhará.
said it or not, it would be fine,
the kid could still shine.
com um jeito caloroso.
with a warm personality,
com o fogo inspirado através das galáxias
inspired across galaxies
