Ajoyib va yangi hayotiy reja fikrimizga kelganda, bizning birinchi instiktimiz bu haqida kimgadir aytishdir, lekin Derek Sivers aytishicha, maqsadlarni sir holatda saqalgan yaxshiroqdir. U o'zlarining orzulari haqida gapirgan insonlar, shu orzulariga erishish ehtimoli kamligi haqida 1920 yillargacha borib taqaladigan ilmiy tadqiqotlarga asoslanib gapiradi.

Everyone, please think

2000
Hammanglar, iltimos, o'zingizning
00:17
of your biggest personal goal.
1
2000
3000
eng katta shahsiy maqsadinglar haqida o'ylanglar.
00:20
For real -- you can take a second. You've got to feel this to learn it.
2
5000
3000
Haqiqatdan. Bir soniya sarflang. Buni o'rganish uchun buni his qilishingiz kerak.
00:23
Take a few seconds and think of your personal biggest goal, okay?
3
8000
3000
Bir necha soniaya sarflang va o'zingizning eng katta shaxsiy maqsadingizni o'ylang, maylimi?
00:26
Imagine deciding right now
4
11000
2000
Shu maqsadni amalga oshirmoqchi ekanligingizni
00:28
that you're going to do it.
5
13000
2000
hozir qaror qabul qilayotgandek tasavvur qiling.
00:30
Imagine telling someone that you meet today what you're going to do.
6
15000
3000
Bugun siz uchratgan insonga siz bajamoqchi bo'lgan maqsadni aytishingizni tasavvur qiling.
00:33
Imagine their congratulations
7
18000
2000
Ularning tabriklarini
00:35
and their high image of you.
8
20000
2000
va ularning siz haqidagi yuksak tasavvurini hayolingizga keltiring.
00:37
Doesn't it feel good to say it out loud?
9
22000
2000
Shu maqsadni baland ovoz bilan aytish orqali inson o'zini yaxhshi his qiladimi?
00:39
Don't you feel one step closer already,
10
24000
3000
O'zingizni shu maqsadga allaqachon bir qadam yaqinlashgandek his qilmaysizmi?
00:42
like it's already becoming part of your identity?
11
27000
3000
Huddi bu shaxsiyatingizning bir qismi bo'layotgandek his qilmaysizmi?
00:45
Well, bad news: you should have kept your mouth shut,
12
30000
3000
Ho'sh, yomon xabar: og'zingizni yopib turishingiz kerak edi,
00:48
because that good feeling
13
33000
2000
chunki o'sha yaxshi tuyg'u
00:50
now will make you less likely to do it.
14
35000
3000
sizning o'sha ishni bajarish ehitmolingizni kamaytiradi.
00:53
Repeated psychology tests have proven
15
38000
2000
Qayta qayta o'tkazilgan psihologik testlar isbotlaganki
00:55
that telling someone your goal
16
40000
2000
kimgadir maqsadingizni aytish
00:57
makes it less likely to happen.
17
42000
2000
uning amalga oshish ehtimolini kamaytiradi.
00:59
Any time you have a goal,
18
44000
2000
Har qanday paytda sizda maqsad bo'lganda,
01:01
there are some steps that need to be done, some work that needs to be done
19
46000
2000
shu maqsadga erishish uchun
01:03
in order to achieve it.
20
48000
2000
bajarilishi kerak bo'lgan ba'zi qismlar bor, bajarilishi kerak bo'lgan ba'zi ishlar bor.
01:05
Ideally, you would not be satisfied until you had actually done the work.
21
50000
3000
Aslida, siz ishni bajarib bo'lmaguncha qoniqmasligingiz kerak.
01:08
But when you tell someone your goal and they acknowledge it,
22
53000
3000
Lekin siz maqsadingizni kimgadir aytsangiz va ular buni tan olsa,
01:11
psychologists have found that it's called a "social reality."
23
56000
3000
psihologlarning aytishicha,bu ijtimoiy haqiqat deb ataladi.
01:14
The mind is kind of tricked into feeling that it's already done.
24
59000
3000
Inson ongi bu maqsad amalga oshganidagidek his tuyg'uga berilib qoladi.
01:17
And then, because you felt that satisfaction,
25
62000
2000
So'ngra, o'sha qoniqishni his qilganingiz uchun,
01:19
you're less motivated to do
26
64000
2000
asl zarur ishni bajarishga
01:21
the actual hard work necessary. (Laughter)
27
66000
3000
ishtiyog'ingiz juda kam bo'ladi.
01:24
So this goes against the conventional wisdom
28
69000
2000
Hullas, biz maqsadlarimiz haqida do'stlarimizga aytishimiz kerak
01:26
that we should tell our friends our goals, right --
29
71000
2000
degan g'oya odatiy aqlga qarshi fikr bo'lyabdi.
01:28
so they hold us to it.
30
73000
3000
Shunday qilib, bizlarni shunga ishontirishadi.
01:31
So, let's look at the proof.
31
76000
2000
Buning isbotiga nazar solaylik.
01:33
1926, Kurt Lewin, founder of social psychology,
32
78000
2000
1926 yilda, Kur Lewin, ijtimoiy psihologiyaning asoschisi
01:35
called this "substitution."
33
80000
2000
buni "o'rniga almashtirish" deb atadi.
01:37
1933, Vera Mahler found,
34
82000
2000
1933 yilda Vera Mahler shuni topdi:
01:39
when it was acknowledged by others, it felt real in the mind.
35
84000
3000
maqsadni boshqalar tan olganda, maqsad inson fikrida haqiqiydek tuyuladi.
01:42
1982, Peter Gollwitzer wrote a whole book about this
36
87000
3000
1982 yilda Peter Gollwitzer bu haqida butun bir kitob yozdi
01:45
and in 2009,
37
90000
2000
va 2009 yilda
01:47
he did some new tests that were published.
38
92000
2000
u ba'zi yangi sinovlarni bajardi va ular nashr ham qilindi.
01:49
It goes like this:
39
94000
2000
Bu shunday bo'ladi:
01:51
163 people across four separate tests --
40
96000
3000
To'rtta alohida sinovlar bo'yicha 163 ta odamlar --
01:54
everyone wrote down their personal goal.
41
99000
3000
hamma o'zlarining maqsadlarini yozdilar.
01:57
Then half of them announced their commitment to this goal to the room,
42
102000
3000
Ularning yarmi o'zlarining maqsadlariga bo'lgan intilishlarini aytdilar
02:00
and half didn't.
43
105000
2000
va ularning yarmi bu haqda hech narsa deyishmadi.
02:02
Then everyone was given 45 minutes of work
44
107000
2000
Keyin, hammaga 45 daqiqalik ish berildi.
02:04
that would directly lead them towards their goal,
45
109000
3000
Bu ish ularni to'g'ridan to'g'ri maqsadlariga olib borar edi.
02:07
but they were told that they could stop at any time.
46
112000
2000
Lekin, shu bilan birga ular istagan paytlarida bu berilgan ishni to'xtata olishlari mumkin ekanligi aytildi.
02:09
Now, those who kept their mouths shut
47
114000
2000
Og'zini yopib, indamay o'tirganlar,
02:11
worked the entire 45 minutes, on average,
48
116000
3000
o'rta hisobda, to'liq 45 daqiqa ishladilar.
02:14
and when asked afterwards,
49
119000
2000
Shunda keyin, ulardan so'rashganida,
02:16
said that they felt that they had a long way to go still to achieve their goal.
50
121000
3000
ular maqsadlariga erishishlari uchun hali ancha uzoq yo'l borligini aytdilar.
02:19
But those who had announced it
51
124000
2000
Maqsadlarini boshqalarga e'lon qilganlar esa,
02:21
quit after only 33 minutes, on average,
52
126000
3000
o'rta hisobda, 33 daqiqadan keyin ishini to'xtatishdi.
02:24
and when asked afterwards,
53
129000
2000
Bulardan so'rashganida esa,
02:26
said that they felt much closer to achieving their goal.
54
131000
2000
bular maqsadlariga erishishlariga juda ham yaqin qolganliklarini aytdilar.
02:28
So, if this is true,
55
133000
2000
Agar bu to'g'ri bo'lsa,
02:30
what can we do?
56
135000
2000
biz nima qila olamiz?
02:32
Well, you could resist the temptation
57
137000
2000
Siz maqsadingizni boshqalarga e'lon qilishdan
02:34
to announce your goal.
58
139000
2000
o'zingizni tiyib turishingiz mumkin.
02:36
You can delay the gratification
59
141000
2000
Ijtimoiy tan olinish sizga keltiradigan
02:38
that the social acknowledgement brings,
60
143000
2000
qoniqishni keyinga qoldirib turishingiz mumkin.
02:40
and you can understand that your mind
61
145000
2000
Shunday qilib, ongingiz gapirishni bajarishga adashtirishini
02:42
mistakes the talking for the doing.
62
147000
3000
anglab olasiz.
02:45
But if you do need to talk about something,
63
150000
2000
Ammo, siz biror narsa haqida gapirmoqchi bo'lsangiz,
02:47
you can state it in a way
64
152000
2000
siz shunday usulda aytishingiz kerakki,
02:49
that gives you no satisfaction,
65
154000
2000
bu sizga hech qanday qoniqih tuyg'usini bermasin.
02:51
such as, "I really want to run this marathon,
66
156000
2000
masalan, "Men bu marafonda yugurishni juda xohlayman,
02:53
so I need to train five times a week
67
158000
2000
shunig uchun men haftasiga besh marta shug'ullanishim kerak
02:55
and kick my ass if I don't, okay?"
68
160000
3000
va, agar, shunday qilmasam, o'zimni urishim kerak, maylimi?
02:58
So audience, next time you're tempted to tell someone your goal,
69
163000
3000
Tomoshabinlar, kelasi safar sizlar maqsadingiz haqida kimgadir aytishni xohlasangiz,
03:01
what will you say? (Silence)
70
166000
2000
nima deysizlar?
03:03
Exactly, well done.
71
168000
3000
Huddi shunday. Juda yaxshi.
03:06
(Applause)
72
