06:45
but we need to know when we seek寻求 to learn学习,
and when we seek寻求 to perform演出,
153
393360
3616
06:49
and while we want
to spend time doing both,
154

2056
06:51
the more time we spend

06:53
the more we'll improve提高.
156
401200

06:55
So how can we spend
more time in the learning学习 zone?
157
403360
2400
06:59
First, we must必须 believe and understand理解
158
407040

07:29
because if mistakes错误 are to be expected预期,
170
437160

07:46

08:39
we send发送 the message信息
that school学校 is a performance性能 zone.
198

08:44
The same相同 is true真正 in our workplaces工作场所.
199
512240

08:46
In the companies公司 I consult请教 with,

08:52
But that leads引线 employees雇员

08:55
and not try new things,
203

08:56
so companies公司 struggle斗争

09:01
We can create创建 more spaces空间 for growth发展
206
529960
2296
09:04
by starting开始 conversations对话 with one another另一个
207
532280
2056
09:06
about when we want to be in each zone.
208
534360
2280
09:09
What do we want to get better at and how?
209

09:11
And when do we want
to execute执行 and minimize最小化 mistakes错误?
210
539960
3000
09:15
That way, we gain获得 clarity明晰
about what success成功 is,
211
543680
3016
09:18
when, and how to best最好 support支持 one another另一个.
212
546720
2080
09:22
But what if we find ourselves
in a chronic慢性 high-stakes高风险 setting设置
213
550000
3096
09:25
and we feel we can't
start开始 those conversations对话 yet然而?
214
553120
2720
09:28
Then here are three things
that we can still do as individuals个人.
215
556720
3096
09:31
First, we can create创建 low-stakes低风险 islands岛屿
in an otherwise除此以外 high-stakes高风险 sea.
216
559840
4280
09:36
These are spaces空间 where mistakes错误
have little consequence后果.
217
564640
2736
09:39
For example, we might威力 find
a mentor导师 or a trusted信任 colleague同事
218
567400
3456
09:42
with whom we can exchange交换 ideas思路
or have vulnerable弱势 conversations对话
219
570880
3176
09:46
or even role-play角色扮演.
220
574080
1376
09:47
Or we can ask for feedback-oriented
meetings会议 as projects项目 progress进展.
221
575480
3616
09:51
Or we can set aside在旁边 time to read
or watch videos视频 or take online线上 courses培训班.
222
579120
4136
09:55
Those are just some examples例子.
223
583280
1400
09:57
Second第二, we can execute执行
and perform演出 as we're expected预期,
224
585360
4176
10:01
but then reflect反映 on what
we could do better next下一个 time,
225
589560
2576
10:04
like Beyonc碧昂斯é does,
226
592160
1256
10:05
and we can observe and emulate仿真 experts专家.
227
593440
2136
10:07
The observation意见, reflection反射
and adjustment调整 is a learning学习 zone.
228
595600
3520
10:11
And finally最后, we can lead
229
599880
2200
10:14
and lower降低 the stakes赌注 for others其他
by sharing分享 what we want to get better at,
230
602760
3576
10:18
by asking questions问题
about what we don't know,
231
606360
2496
10:20
by soliciting拉客 feedback反馈
and by sharing分享 our mistakes错误
232

10:25
so that others其他
can feel safe安全 to do the same相同.
234
613040
2080
10:27
Real真实 confidence置信度 is about
10:32
What if, instead代替 of spending开支
our lives生活 doing, doing, doing,
236
620880
4456
10:39
we spent花费 more time exploring探索,
238
627480
2280
10:42
asking,
239
630640
1416
询问、
10:44

240
632080

242
636520
2480
10:52
What if we each always had something
243
640320

10:55
we were working加工 to improve提高?
244

10:57

11:00
and waters水域?
246
648200

11:04
within ourselves我们自己 and with our teammates队友,

11:06
about when we seek寻求 to learn学习

11:10
so that our efforts努力
can become成为 more consequential后果,
