What do we know about the future?
0
381
2002
Cfare dime ne lidhje me te ardhmen?
00:14
Difficult question, simple answer: nothing.
1
2383
3065
Pyetje e veshtire, pergjigje e thjeshte: asgje.
00:17
We cannot predict the future.
2
5448
2491
Nuk mund ta parashikojme te ardhmen.
00:19
We only can create a vision of the future, how it might be,
3
7939
4639
Ajo qe mund te bejme eshte te krijojme nje vizion te te ardhmes, ashtu si mund te jete,
00:24
a vision which reveals disruptive ideas, which is inspiring,
4
12578
3333
nje vizion qe tregon ide te padisiplinuara, frymezuese
00:27
and this is the most important reason
5
15911
2286
arsyeja kryesore
00:30
which breaks the chains of common thinking.
6
18197
3048
qe shkeput zinxhirin e te menduarit te zakonshem.
00:33
There are a lot of people
7
21245
1328
Ka shume njerez
00:34
who created their own vision about the future,
8
22573
2050
te cilet kane krijuar vizionin e tyre per te ardhmen,
00:36
for instance, this vision here from the early 20th century.
9
24623
3356
per shembull, ja nje vizion i shekullit te 20-te.
00:39
It says here that this is the ocean plane of the future.
10
27979
4060
Ketu thuhet, se ky eshte aeroplani oqeanik i te ardhmes.
00:44
It takes only one and a half days to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
11
32039
3613
I duhet vetem 1 dite e gjysem per te kaluar Oqeanin Atlantik.
00:47
Today, we know that this future vision didn't come true.
12
35652
3501
Sot, e dime qe ky vizion i te ardhmes nuk u be realitet.
00:51
So this is our largest airplane which we have,
13
39153
2932
Ky eshte aeroplani me i madh qe kemi,
00:54
the Airbus A380, and it's quite huge,
14
42085
2799
Airbus A380, dhe eshte mjaft i madh,
00:56
so a lot of people fit in there
15
44884
1548
mban shume njerez ne te
00:58
and it's technically completely different
16
46432
2521
dhe eshte plotesisht i ndryshem teknikisht
01:00
than the vision I've shown to you.
17
48953
2211
nga versioni qe ju kam terguar.
01:03
I'm working in a team with Airbus,
18
51164
1970
Jam duke punuar ne nje grup me Airbus,
01:05
and we have created our vision
19
53134
1579
dhe kemi mundur te krijojme vizionin tone
01:06
about a more sustainable future of aviation.
20
54713
2932
per nje te ardhme me te qendrueshme te aviacionit.
01:09
So sustainability is quite important for us,
21
57645
2485
Pra, qendrueshmeria eshte mjaft e rendesishme per ne,
01:12
which should incorporate social
22
60130
1774
dhe duhet te perfshije vlera sociale
01:13
but as well as environmental and economic values.
23
61904
3090
sikunder dhe ambientaliste dhe ekonomike.
01:16
So we have created a very disruptive structure
24
64994
2906
Pra, kemi krijuar nje strukture shume te padisiplinuar
01:19
which mimics the design of bone, or a skeleton,
25
67900
3608
qe imiton dizenjon e kockes, ose skeletit,
01:23
which occurs in nature.
26
71508
1725
qe e gjejme ne natyre.
01:25
So that's why it looks maybe a little bit weird,
27
73233
2250
Pra, ndaj dhe duket paksa e cuditshme,
01:27
especially to the people who deal with structures in general.
28
75483
3828
mbi te gjitha atyre njerezve qe merren me struktura ne pergjithesi.
01:31
But at least it's just a kind of artwork
29
79311
2463
Por ne fund te fundit eshte vetem nje veper arti
01:33
to explore our ideas about a different future.
30
81774
5190
per te eksploruar idete tona rreth nje te ardhmje te ndryshme.
01:38
What are the main customers of the future?
31
86964
2152
Cilet jane klientet e te ardhmes?
01:41
So, we have the old, we have the young,
32
89116
1848
Pra, kemi te moshuarin, te riun,
01:42
we have the uprising power of women,
33
90964
2732
dhe fuqine gjithnje ne ngritje qe eshte gruaja,
01:45
and there's one mega-trend which affects all of us.
34
93696
4003
dhe nje trend gjigand qe na ndikon te gjitheve.
01:49
These are the future anthropometrics.
35
97699
2425
Keto jane antropometriks e te ardhmes.
01:52
So our children are getting larger, but at the same time
36
100124
3492
Pra, femijet tane jane duke u bere me te medhenj, nderkohe qe ne
01:55
we are growing into different directions.
37
103616
2502
jemi duke u rritur ne drejtime te ndryshme.
01:58
So what we need is space inside the aircraft,
38
106118
5684
Pra, ajo qe na duhet eshte hapesire brenda aeroplanit,
02:03
inside a very dense area.
39
111802
2125
brenda nje hapesire me shume densitet.
02:05
These people have different needs.
40
113927
1738
Keto njerez kane kerkesa te ndryshme.
02:07
So we see a clear need of active health promotion,
41
115665
3558
Pra, ketu duket qarte nje nevoje per promovim te te qenit aktiv,
02:11
especially in the case of the old people.
42
119223
2672
mbi te gjitha tek behet fjale per te moshuarit.
02:13
We want to be treated as individuals.
43
121895
1870
Duam te trajtohemi si individe.
02:15
We like to be productive throughout the entire travel chain,
44
123765
5493
Duam te jemi produktiv pergjate te gjithe ciklit te udhetimit,
02:21
and what we are doing in the future is
45
129258
2297
dhe ajo cka duam per te ardhmen eshte
02:23
we want to use the latest man-machine interface,
46
131555
3180
perdorimi i nderhyrjes njeri-makineri,
02:26
and we want to integrate this and show this in one product.
47
134735
4371
duke i permbledhur te gjitha keto ne nje produkt te vetem.
02:31
So we combined these needs with technology's themes.
48
139106
3442
Pra, ne i kombinuam keto kerkesa me tema te teknologjise.
02:34
So for instance, we are asking ourselves,
49
142548
2528
Per shembull, jemi duke e pyetur veten,
02:37
how can we create more light?
50
145076
2213
si mund te krijojme me shume ndricim?
02:39
How can we bring more natural light into the airplane?
51
147289
2574
Si mund te lejojme me shume drite natyrale ne kabine?
02:41
So this airplane has no windows anymore, for example.
52
149863
3396
Ky aeroplan, nuk ka me dritare per shembull.
02:45
What about the data and communication software
53
153259
2733
Po persa i perket te dhenave dhe softuerve te komunikimit
02:47
which we need in the future?
54
155992
1673
qe na nevojiten ne te ardhmen?
02:49
My belief is that the airplane of the future
55
157665
2901
Besimi im eshte qe aeroplanet e te ardhmes
02:52
will get its own consciousness.
56
160566
2133
do te kene ndergjegjen e tyre.
02:54
It will be more like a living organism
57
162699
2479
Do jete me teper si nje organizem i gjalle
02:57
than just a collection of very complex technology.
58
165178
4422
se sa bashkimi i teknologjive shume komlekse.
03:01
This will be very different in the future.
59
169600
2122
Kjo do te jete shume ndryshe ne te ardhmen.
03:03
It will communicate directly
60
171722
1569
Do te komunikoje drejt per se drejti
03:05
with the passenger in its environment.
61
173291
2880
me pasagjeret ne ambjentet e tij.
03:08
And then we are talking also about materials,
62
176171
2101
Por, gjithashtu jemi duke folur per materiale,
03:10
synthetic biology, for example.
63
178272
1986
bilologji sintetike per shembull.
03:12
And my belief is that we will get more and more
64
180258
3715
Dhe besimi im eshte qe do te arrijme te kemi gjithnje e me shume
03:15
new materials which we can put into structure later on,
65
183973
3702
materiale te reja, qe me vone mund t'i vendosim ne strukture,
03:19
because structure is one of the key issues in aircraft design.
66
187675
4146
sepse struktura eshte nje nga celesat kyc ne dizenjimin e aeroplanit.
03:23
So let's compare the old world with the new world.
67
191821
3272
Pra, le ta krahesojme boten e vjeter me te rene.
03:27
I just want to show you here what we are doing today.
68
195093
1967
Thjesht dua t'ju tregoj ketu se cfare jemi duke bere ne sot.
03:29
So this is a bracket of an A380 crew rest compartment.
69
197060
4280
Kjo eshte nje ndarje e vendqendrimit te ekuipazhit ne nje A380.
03:33
It takes a lot of weight,
70
201340
1697
Ka shume peshe,
03:35
and it follows the classical design rules.
71
203037
3151
dhe ndjek te gjitha rregullat e dizenjimit klasik.
03:38
This here is an equal bracket for the same purpose.
72
206188
3651
Kjo ketu eshte nje ndarje e njejte dhe per te njejtin qellim.
03:41
It follows the design of bone.
73
209839
2149
Ndjek dizenjon e kockes.
03:43
The design process is completely different.
74
211988
2520
Dizenjimi ndryshon kryekeput.
03:46
At the one hand, we have 1.2 kilos,
75
214508
2721
Ne njeren ane kemi 1.2 kg,
03:49
and at the other hand 0.6 kilos.
76
217229
1943
ndersa ne tjetren 0.6 kg.
03:51
So this technology, 3D printing, and new design rules
77
219172
3267
Pra kjo teknologjie e re, Printime 3D, dhe rregulla te reja dizenjimi
03:54
really help us to reduce the weight,
78
222439
1592
na ndihmojne shume ne zvogelimin e peshes,
03:56
which is the biggest issue in aircraft design,
79
224031
2595
cka eshte problematika me e madhe ne dizenjon e nje aeroplani,
03:58
because it's directly linked to greenhouse gas emissions.
80
226626
2654
pasi lidhet drejt per se drejti me prodhimin e gazrave te efektit sere.
04:01
Push this idea a little bit forward.
81
229280
1820
Le ta cojme pak me perpara kete ide.
04:03
So how does nature build its components and structures?
82
231100
4976
Pra, si i nderton natyra strukturat dhe perberesit e saj?
04:08
So nature is very clever. It puts all the information
83
236076
3041
Natyra eshte mjaft e mencur. Te gjithe informacionin
04:11
into these small building blocks, which we call DNA.
84
239117
3197
e vendos ne keto blloqe te vogla ndertimi, qe ne i quajme ADN.
04:14
And nature builds large skeletons out of it.
85
242314
2576
Me to, natyra nderton skelete shume te medha.
04:16
So we see a bottom-up approach here,
86
244890
2494
Ketu shohim nje qasje nga poshte-lart,
04:19
because all the information, as I said, are inside the DNA.
87
247384
3165
pasi i gjithe informacioni eshte brenda ADN-se.
04:22
And this is combined with a top-down approach,
88
250549
1994
Ky pastaj kombinohet me nje qasje nga lart-poshte,
04:24
because what we are doing in our daily life
89
252543
2318
sepse ajo cka ne bejme perdite eshte
04:26
is we train our muscles, we train our skeleton,
90
254861
3106
trajnimi i muskujve tone, i skeletit tone
04:29
and it's getting stronger.
91
257967
2000
te cilet sa vine e forcohen.
04:31
And the same approach can be applied to technology as well.
92
259967
2376
E njejta qasje mund te aplikohet edhe per teknologjine.
04:34
So our building block is carbon nanotubes, for example,
93
262343
3844
Blloqet baze te ndertimit jane nanotuba karboni,
04:38
to create a large, rivet-less skeleton at the end of the day.
94
266187
4266
ne menyre per te krijuar nje skelet me te madh dhe pa ndihmen e shume bullonave.
04:42
How this looks in particular, you can show it here.
95
270453
3054
Ja se si do te dukej me qartesisht kjo gje.
04:45
So imagine you have carbon nanotubes growing
96
273507
2134
Pra, imagjinoni qe ne krijojme nanotuba karboni ne
04:47
inside a 3D printer,
97
275641
1437
printerat 3D,
04:49
and they are embedded inside a matrix of plastic,
98
277078
3199
te ngulitura mire brenda nje matrice plastike,
04:52
and follow the forces which occur in your component.
99
280277
3093
dhe qe ndjekin forcat brenda komponentit tuaj.
04:55
And you've got trillions of them.
100
283370
1743
Dhe ketu flasim per triliona te ketilla.
04:57
So you really align them to wood,
101
285113
2193
I rreshton mbi dru,
04:59
and you take this wood and make morphological optimization,
102
287306
3169
e me pas ketij druri i bejme nje optimizim morfologjik
05:02
so you make structures, sub-structures,
103
290475
1959
ne menyre per te krijuar struktura dhe nen-struktura,
05:04
which allows you to transmit electrical energy or data.
104
292434
4033
qe lejojne tejcimin e te dhenave dhe energjise elektrike.
05:08
And now we take this material, combine this
105
296467
1937
Tani, e marrim kete material dhe e kombinojme me
05:10
with a top-down approach,
106
298404
1578
qasjen tone nga lart-poshte,
05:11
and build bigger and bigger components.
107
299982
3552
duke krijuar perberes gjithnje e me te medhenj.
05:15
So how might the airplane of the future look?
108
303534
3045
Pra, si mund te duket aeroplani i te ardhmes?
05:18
So we have very different seats which adapt
109
306579
2121
Kemi sedilje teresisht te ndryshme qe adaptohen
05:20
to the shape of the future passenger,
110
308700
1623
ne varesi te formes se pasagjereve qe do te udhetojne,
05:22
with the different anthropometrics.
111
310323
1711
me antropometriks te ndryshem.
05:24
We have social areas inside the aircraft
112
312034
2709
Kemi krijuar disa zona sociale brenda kabines
05:26
which might turn into a place
113
314743
2760
qe mund te shnderrohen ne vende
05:29
where you can play virtual golf.
114
317503
2200
ku mund te luhet golf virtual.
05:31
And finally, this bionic structure,
115
319703
2463
Dhe si perfundim, struktura bionike,
05:34
which is covered by a transparent
116
322166
2161
qe eshte e mbuluar nga nje membrane transparente
05:36
biopolymer membrane, will really change radically
117
324327
3864
bipolimere, qe do ta ndryshoje rrenjesisht menyren
05:40
how we look at aircrafts in the future.
118
328191
2393
se si do te duken aeroplanet e te ardhmes.
05:42
So as Jason Silva said,
119
330584
2024
Dhe sikunder tha Jason Silva,
05:44
if we can imagine it, why not make it so?
120
332608
2523
"Nese mundemi ta imagjinojme, pse te mos e ndertojme?"
05:47
See you in the future. Thank you.
121
335131
1735
Takohemi ne te ardhmen. Faleminderit.
05:48
(Applause)
