Aastaks 2005 oli vaid 15% maailmast kaardistatud. See takistab hädaabi kohalejõudmist katastroofi korral ja varjab kasutamata maa ja teadmata teede majandusliku potentsiaali. Selles lühikeses kõnes demonstreerib Google'i töötaja Lalitesh Katragadda kaardistusprogrammi Map Maker, mida inimesed üle kogu maailma oma ümbruskonna kaardistamiseks kasutavad.
